Quality Leadership Council
ACR Quality Leadership Council
Several ACR committees are involved in quality-related work. The ACR Quality Leadership Council helps define the overall strategy of the ACR’s quality initiatives and integrate the quality-related work of the ACR Committees on Quality Measures, Rheumatologic Care, Education, Training and Workforce and Government Affairs. It will also monitor the external environment and coordinate ACR responses to quality-related issues, as necessary.
The ACR created the Quality Leadership Council in November of 2005. The overall goal of the QLC is to:
Assist the ACR Board of Directors and ACR Executive Committee in developing a coherent and practice-relevant strategy to address quality of care issues in rheumatology.
Provide guidance to committees regarding prioritization of projects related to quality of care.
Coordinate projects related to quality of care that span the charge of more than one ACR committee.
Develop a plan to communicate the complexities of this area to ACR members.
Serve as a quick response team to coordinate the ACR response to external situations regarding quality of care.
