Subcommittee Description
The ACR Clinical Practice Guidelines Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the Committee on Quality of Care.
Responsibilities
The ACR Clinical Practice Guidelines Subcommittee reviews and approves clinical practice guidelines and recommendations in addition to ACR guideline development process and policy.
The ACR staff is responsible for the administration and project management of all initiatives and programs.
Time Commitments
Meetings
- In Person: Once a year during ACR Convergence for 1–2 hours
Asynchronous Work
- Approximately 5–6 hours per year
Recommended Qualifications
The ACR Clinical Practice Guidelines Subcommittee welcomes all interested volunteers, but would benefit from representation from U.S. members in a private practice setting, at senior career level, and are who are pediatric professionals.
Interested participants for this subcommittee should have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience in systematic literature reviews and/or meta-analyses, epidemiology, decision analysis, quality improvement, and/or development of clinical practice guidelines using GRADE methodologic framework
- Passion for advancing patient care and evidence-based medicine
- Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence
- Collaborative, flexible, adaptive, and inclusive to all
- Good verbal and written communication skills while being able to be an active listener
