Committee Description

The ACR Committee on Communications and Marketing helps shape strategic internal and external communications, marketing, and related activities through projects in public relations, media relations, patient education, content development, and technology, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise for patient education materials
  • Provide input on the press program for ACR Convergence
  • Provide input on podcast ideas
  • Provide input on social media strategies
  • Oversee and review advertising policies and opportunities for all College media (e.g., publications, website, ACR Convergence, etc.)

The ACR staff is responsible for the administration and project management of all initiatives and programs.

Time Commitments

Virtual

  • Meetings: 1 per month via Zoom, for one hour, usually on a weekday evening after 7:30 PM ET

In-Person

  • Typically, one (1) in-person meeting a year during ACR Convergence; participation by Zoom is permitted

Recommended Qualifications

The ACR Committee on Communications and Marketing welcomes all interested volunteers.

Interested participants for this committee should have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Digital and social media savvy
  • Media interviews
  • Health literacy and patient education content
  • Strong advocate for ACR's brand visibility and thought leadership in all media spaces
