Subcommittee Description
The ACR Pediatric Training Subcommittee provides education and mentoring for clinician educators serving as faculty in pediatric rheumatology training programs.
Responsibilities
- Plan the program and attend the Pediatric Business Meeting at the Educators Conference
- Plan and attend quarterly Pediatric Program Town Halls
- Develop training curriculum for pediatric rheumatology fellows
- Promote the use of fellows’ educational initiatives to be implanted in pediatric rheumatology training programs
- Assist programs to implement updated accreditation requirements and established competency-based medical education, e.g., EPAs and milestones
The ACR staff is responsible for the administration and project management of all initiatives and programs.
Time Commitments
Virtual
- Meetings: 1-hour meetings are held quarterly; scheduling depends on subcommittee members' availability
Recommended Qualifications
The ACR Pediatric Training Subcommittee welcomes all interested volunteers in the field of pediatric rheumatology. The subcommittee mix would benefit from adding members who serve in a Pediatric Director or Assistant Director role.
Interested participants for this subcommittee should have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:
