APPLICATIONS INVITED

Arthritis Care & Research Editor-in-Chief (2026–2031 Term)

The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Committee on Journal Publications announces the search for the position of Editor-in-Chief, Arthritis Care & Research (AC&R). The official term of the next AC&R editorship is July 1, 2026–June 30, 2031; however, some of the duties of the new Editor will begin during a transition period starting April 1, 2026.

ARP/ACR members who are considering applying should submit a nonbinding letter of intent by May 16, 2025 to journals@rheumatology.org and are also encouraged to contact the current Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Kelli Allen, to discuss details; initial contact should be made via email to kdallen@email.unc.edu.

Applications are due August 1, 2025 and will be reviewed in August and September 2025.

Arthritis Care & Research (AC&R), an official journal of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the Association of Rheumatology Professionals (ARP), is a peer-reviewed monthly publication publishing original research, review articles, and editorials that promote excellence in the clinical practice of rheumatology.

In relation to the care of individuals with rheumatic diseases, the major topics are evidence-based practice studies; clinical problems; practice guidelines; educational, social, and public health issues; health economics; health care policy; and future trends in rheumatology practice. AC&R is known internationally as a top rheumatology research journal.

A subscription to AC&R is included with ACR and ARP membership.
