Subcommittee Description

The ACR Educator Resources Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the ACR Committee on Training. The subcommittee maintains the Rheumatology Core Curriculum, approves rheumatology mini-curriculums, identifies training program curricula gaps and resources to fill those gaps, identifies resources for educators to obtain teaching tools, and maintains an online platform for educators to showcase their work.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and updating the Core Curriculum Outline
• Serving as a liaison to authors who submit a Mini-Curriculum application; liaisons request status updates on development of their curriculum and share the subcommittee’s feedback, as needed
• Identifying gaps in available curriculum for rheumatology educators
• Promoting educational resources that address identified gaps to rheumatology educators

The ACR staff is responsible for the administration and project management of all initiatives and programs.

Time Commitments

Virtual

• The subcommittee meets virtually for one hour 3–4 times per year
• Meetings are typically held in the event, but timing may fluctuate based on members' availability

Recommended Qualifications

The ACR Educator Resources Subcommittee welcomes volunteers who have held a rheumatology faculty position for five or more years.

Interested participants for this subcommittee should have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Experience with designing rheumatology curriculum
• Experience in supporting resources to meet the educational and professional needs of adult learners, including faculty
