Journal Clubs

The ACR provides opportunities for examining and discussing the latest in rheumatology practice and research through a variety of journal club features.

Arthritis & Rheumatology Journal Club
These monthly features of Arthritis & Rheumatology (A&R) are written by the authors of a research study published in that month’s issue of A&R and present a brief summary of the study along with questions to guide discussion of the study’s methodology and applicability to practice. A&R journal clubs are published in the front matter of each monthly A&R issue.

Arthritis Care & Research Journal Club
On a bimonthly basis, the authors of a selected clinical study published in Arthritis Care & Research (AC&R) create a set of PowerPoint (PPT) slides that can be used to lead a journal club discussion. Each slide deck presents a summary of the background, study methods, main results, and discussion points for the selected AC&R study. Slide decks can be downloaded for free from the supplementary information of the article.
